Julie trained as an environmental health officer and is an experienced consultant specialising in occupational health and safety.  She has experience of undertaking organisational cultural assessments as a benchmarking tool, and of designing solutions to implement behavioural change.  She is an effective presenter and trainer and author of 'Health & Safety Tool Kit for Line Managers' (Gee Publishing 2001).

Julie is currently undertaking a PhD in behavioral safety. Her research will explore factors which influence healthcare professionals' use of protocols and guidelines, designed to prevent and control healthcare-associated infection.
